His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, met in Riyadh today with U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed international efforts exerted to tackle climate change. They addressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's initiatives and efforts to confront climate change, reduce emissions and preserve the environment. The discussion also included the Saudi Green and the Middle East Green initiatives. This is in addition to Saudi Arabia's efforts during its G20 presidency in 2020 that resulted in adapting concepts of Circular Carbon Economy. The meeting was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy; Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense; Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli; Charge d'Affaires of the United States of America Embassy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Martina Strong and a number of U.S officials.
