Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia to limit Hajj pilgrimage this year to 60,000 citizens and residents

Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia always keen on the health and safety of Pilgrims every year, and Saudi Arabia announced to limit the number of the Pilgrims this year, for the second consecutive year.
The decision was based on accurate medical scientific studies say that the Coronavirus Pandemic is still spreading in the entire world, threatening lives, therefore, the precautionary measures should be strictly adhered to prevent its spread, the paper added .
For this reason, the decision came to limit the number of the pilgrims to 60,000 from inside and all should be vaccinated and perform the rituals according to a precise protocols that guarantee their safety the paper further added.
Every year, Saudi Arabia exerts great efforts and provides various services to the pilgrims to perform their rituals in tranquility and comfort.
In another context, Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that Houthi terrorist militia continues targeting cities and civilians in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the latest of which was targeting a school in Asir region by a bomb-laden UAVs.
This attack represents a blatant violation of international and humanitarian law and a threat to regional peace and security, the paper added .
In this regard, many countries have announced support for all the steps that Saudi Arabia takes to maintain its security and stability and to protect the safety of its citizens and residents, the paper further added .
Targeting of civilian objects by Iran-backed Houthi Coup Militia clearly reflects its disregard for all international laws and norms in absence of deterrent positions of the international community, while Saudi Arabia and the coalition forces to restore legitimacy in Yemen are confronting these attacks to defend its security and sovereignty of its territory and to protect of its citizens and residents land, the paper concluded.
Al-Yaum newspaper highlighted in its editorial the UNESCO's adoption of the evaluation framework for the best global practices in e-learning, prepared by the National Center for e-Learning (NCeL) has made the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia along with the three most important countries in the world, South Korea, China and Finland, the paper added.
This unprecedented achievement confirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is ahead of many countries in the world in e-learning, the paper further added.
This accreditation is another indication of the unlimited support being provided for the education sector in general and e-learning in particular in Saudi Arabia from the wise leadership, the paper concluded .
