Prince Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Qassim Region, affirmed the importance of the media role in highlighting the efforts of the wise leadership and the nation's gains in the development and service projects that contribute to the advancement of services in various fields. Prince Faisal indicated that media various outlets, play in light of advancement of modern technology, important roles, which require the governmental platforms to keep pace and interact in order to highlight the efforts of serving citizens, calling for the importance of formulating the media vision for the media role of the region in line with the objectives of the Kingdom Vision 2030 for the future of the region. This came on the sidelines of the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Governor of Qassim Region and Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Minister of Commerce and Acting Minister of Media. Prince Faisal hailed Dr. Al-Qasabi's efforts in consolidating the media role and highlighting the Kingdom's pioneering role and its efforts at the local and global arenas, hoping that the agreement would achieve its goals for the sake of advancement and development of media in the region. For his part, Dr. Al-Qasabi hailed the Governor of Qassim Region's support for the media programs and efforts in the region. The MoU focuses on training media talents and cadres affiliating to the region, conducting media surveys, providing training courses for photographers working in governmental institutions, and highlighting the importance of strengthening the Kingdom's national identity. The signing ceremony was attended by a number of officials.
