Chaired by Kuwaiti representative, the Arab Standing Committee for Human Rights virtually held here today an extraordinary meeting to discuss the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories. During the meeting, the participants expressed their strong condemnation of the widespread aggression of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people in all the occupied Palestinian territories, calling on the international community to take urgent action to stop this aggression and prevent its recurrence. The participants supported the State of Palestine's request for the International Criminal Court (ICC) and other institutions to move forward with the investigation of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by Israel against defenseless Palestinian people, demanding the international community to confront the systematic and widespread violations and policies committed by the Israeli occupation forces. The committee called on the United Nations and all its relevant agencies and organizations to assume their legal responsibility against the continuation of the Israeli occupation in Palestine.
