The Palestinian leadership has decided to visit all member states of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) within the next two weeks. The Palestinian Charge D'affaires in Amman Attallah Kheiri told pressmen that the tour of the Palestinian leadership delegation was primarily aimed at briefing the GCC leaders on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories in the light of the ongoing arrangements for electing a new president for the Palestinian Authority. The delegation, which arrived in Damascus on Monday, comprises Mahmoud Abbas, the Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Prime Minister Ahmad Qorei and Foreign Minister Nabil Shath. The GCC is made up of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
