Muslim World League (MWL) has expressed its strong condemnation of the flagrant attacks on the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and worshippers, stressing its rejection of this dangerous escalation. The MWL, in a statement issued by its Secretary General and Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, denounced the violent practices that undermine the dignity of the Palestinian people and its legitimate rights and provoke the Muslims' feelings around the world. The Secretary General called on the international community to put an end to the dangers of this violence, provide necessary protection for civilian Palestinians, guarantee their rights to practice religious rituals and stop all forms of violations, attacks and violence. Dr. Al-Issa, on behalf of all peoples, scholars and intellectuals of the Islamic world affiliated with MWL, renewed solidarity with the Palestinian people and support for all peace efforts until reaching a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue that can enable Palestinians establish their independent Palestinian state on the 1967-borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, according to international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab peace initiative.
