Minister of Transportation Dr. Jubarah bin Eid Al-suraisri signed here on Sunday 6 contracts with Saudi contractors to implement a number of road projects. The road of Yanbu - Umlug - Al-wajh - Dheba, and Sherma with a length of 423.575 kilometers and the road of Khames Mushait - Najran with a length of 162.706 kilometers, are estimated to cost SR. 948,653,068. In a press statement, the Minister pointed out to the importance of these roads as they link the central and western regions of the Kingdom to the northern and southern parts. He noted that these areas usually witness heavy traffic. "The completion of these roads will contribute to smooth and easy transportations and raise the level of safety and security as well as facilitate the transportation with the neighbouring countries." The Minister expressed thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier for their care to the roads sector in the Kingdom.
