Sheikh Salih bin Abdullah bin Humaid, Imam and preacher of the Makkah-based Grand Haram who is also Chairman of the Saudi Shoura Council, today led the worshippers at Friday prayer at the Islamabad-based King Faisal Mosque. In his speech, which was interpreted into Urdu language, he underscored the importance of unity of Muslim ranks and strongly criticized violence and extremism. Bin Humaid is currently in Pakistan to attend the Asian Parliaments Federation's meetings which wound up yesterday.
