The Royal Saudi Air Force on Thursday concluded its participation in the mixed air exercise (2021 Air Excellence Center Exercise), at Mushaf Air Base in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, with the participation of the U.S. and the Pakistani Air Forces. The exercise was attended by the Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki, and the Saudi Military attaché to Pakistan, Major General Pilot Awad bin Abdullah Al-Zahrani, and Commander of the Pakistani Mushaf Air Base, Brigadier General Ali Naeem Zahoor. Ambassador Al-Malki stressed that this joint cooperation between the two countries contributes to building a stronger relationship between the Kingdom and Pakistan, especially in the military field, taking into account the Kingdom's distinguished participation in those exercises and the efficiency and professionalism of the Royal Saudi Air Force. For his part, Maj. Gen. Pilot Al-Zahrani said that these maneuvers aim to enhance and support cooperation between the Saudi and Pakistani Air Forces and to provide training in environments other than the Kingdom's environment. Meanwhile, the Commander of the Air Force Group participating in the exercise, Lieutenant Colonel Fayeh bin Abdulrahman Al-Roqi, stressed the importance of the experiences that the participants gain from such exercises that depend on simulating the environment of real wars, indicating that the exercise (2021 Air Excellence Center Exercise) is one of the important exercises where operational strategies and tactics are developed to simulate the real battlefield in order to adapt to different combat conditions. He added that the performance of the participating forces in all stages of the exercise was very high, considering the high effort they put in their combat performance and their high level of competence and mastery. It is noteworthy that the Royal Saudi Air Force participated with a number of its Tornado fighter jets with its air, technical, and support crews, with the aim of exchanging experiences in the field of planning, combat and support air operations, and raising the combat, technical support and the readiness of the aircrew.
