The planned withdrawal of Dutch troops from Iraq in March does not signal an unraveling of the multinational coalition helping to reconstruct the war-torn country, Dutch Defense Minister Henk Kamp said Tuesday. Kamp, in Tokyo to meet with Japanese officials, said the Dutch went into southern Iraq's al-Muthana province under a United Nations resolution with a clear mission _ to help train a local Iraqi security force. With that mission accomplished, it was time for the Netherlands to leave and for other nations to pitch in, Kamp said. "We believe we have done more than our fair share," he told reporters at Tokyo's Foreign Correspondents Club, when asked whether the upcoming withdrawal by Dutch and Czech forces, as well as a planned scale-back by Polish troops signaled a crumbling of the multinational coalition.
