Official Spokesman of the General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC) Captain Mohammad Al-Nujaidi said that security follow-up of activities of criminal networks, which plan to smuggle narcotics into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has resulted in exploiting a plan to smuggle large quantities of Amphetamine pills into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Follow-ups resulted in seizing 10,948,000 Amphetamine pills in coordination with the Saudi Customs at Jeddah Islamic Port, while hidden in a shipment of tires. Spokesperson of the GDNC said that members involved in the case were arrested, including three Turkish nationals, a refugee and a citizen. Captain Al-Nujaidi said that the detainees were apprehended and faced initial legal procedures before being sent to the Public Prosecution.
