Amiantit subsidiary companies, Amitech Spain and Amitech Mexico, have completed orders valued at $17 million and $4.5 million respectively for Flowtite GRP fiberglass reinforced pipes," it was announced here by Amiantit CEO, Eng. Fareed Al-Khalawi. The Spanish contract was for a 130 kilometers pipeline to transport water for the Canal Alto del los Payuelos irrigation project in the Castilla and Leon region of Spain. Project owner is Aguas del Duero of Valladolid. The consultant engineer was Tragsatec, Madrid, and the contractor was Corsan Corviam/Aldeasa Begar of Spain.
