Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense; the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of the Board of the Saudi Export Development Authority (SAUDI EXPORTS) Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef is scheduled on March 28 to launch the "Made in Saudi" program that aims at supporting national products and services at local and international levels. Announcing the "Made in Saudi" program emanates from HRH Crown Prince's interest and keenness on supporting the national product and enhancing its role in light of the characteristics of national products that enjoy high quality and high competitiveness at regional and international levels, in addition to stressing the importance of raising awareness and confidence in local products and factories at all levels. SAUDI EXPORTS noted that the program will be launched through a virtual event, during which the logo of the "Made in Saudi" will be revealed. The logo will provide a unified identity for Saudi products and services, representing an official identity to promote Saudi products and services locally and internationally. Then, the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of the Authority is planned to hold a press conference in the presence of various media outlets to shed light on program's plans, goals and work mechanism. It is worth mentioning that the "Made in Saudi" program is a main driver to realize the economic goals of the Saudi Vision 2030 that aim at diversifying income resources of the national economy and enhancing the status of the Saudi product according to the highest credibility and excellence standards, in a bid to contribute to directing the purchase power toward local products and services until the contribution of the private sector in the GDP reaches 65% and increasing the share of non-oil exports in the GDP to 50% by 2030.
