Saudi Export Development Authority (Saudi Exports), has launched a design bootcamp to create the visual brand identity of the "Made in Saudi" program against the backdrop of "Design the Kingdom's Industrial Identity" campaign. Sponsored by Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of Saudi Exports Bandar Bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef, the program aims at creating a unified brand identity to promote Saudi made products and services domestically and globally. Through a widespread social media campaign, Saudi Exports has called for the creative community in Saudi Arabia of 18 years old and above to register to the bootcamp at www.saudiexports.sa/madeinsaudi by Nov. 18. Nine Saudi designers will be selected to participate in creating the visual brand identity under the supervision of a panel of branding and design experts. Over 3 days, the nine designers will be divided into three groups — each will conceptualize and create a design option for the program. Designs will be evaluated by a panel of brand experts and creatives before they are put forward for public vote to select the nation's favorite design. Last week, Saudi Exports had announced it is set to launch the "Made in Saudi" program during Q1 of 2021 in collaboration with its partners within the industrial ecosystem. "Made in Saudi" is a national program and one of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP) initiatives that aspires to boost the consumers loyalty to Saudi made products. It aims at supporting the national efforts to increase non-oil exports contribution non-oil GDP from 16% to 50% of by 2030 and contributing to increasing local content and attracting industrial investments. The program is a key enabler in achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 set to transform the Kingdom into a global industrial destination. — SG
