Saudi Press: Arab League Grants Arab Development Action Shield 2021 to HRH Crown Prince

Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Yaum and Al-Bilad newspapers reported in their editorials that the pioneering roles that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia plays, in the pursuit of comprehensive development as well as regional security and stability, stems from the strength of its capabilities, abilities and leadership position both regionally and globally. Moreover, these roles represent a firm approach in the government's strategies since the country's unification by its founder, and until this prosperous era, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.
The newspapers pointed to the Arab League's granting of the Arab Development Action Shield for the year 2021 to HRH the Crown Prince in recognition of his role in promoting the comprehensive development approach in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab world and his efforts that support and strengthen the joint Arab action in all fields, in order to service the security, stability, development and prosperity of the region.
The newspapers added that awarding the shield reflects the positive view of HRH the Crown Prince's efforts, his ambitions and his ability to develop national cadres in a way that enables them to work in harmony to achieve comprehensive development and add new economic strength to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In another context, Okaz newspaper reported in its editorial that the terrorist Houthi militia continues its attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, targeting civilians and civilian objects, as these attacks constitute war crimes against humanity.
The newspaper added that allies and other countries have unanimously condemned this aggression and the international community must take resolute measures to stop these attacks that the Iranian regime supports and funds.
The Houthi militia also exacerbates the humanitarian crisis that the Yemeni people are suffering, especially its escalating of violence against innocent civilians in Marib Governorate, the newspaper further added.
Saudi Arabia has exerted tremendous efforts to encourage reaching a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis. Nevertheless, the whole world now is seeing how the Houthis are undermining peace. The international community must act quickly and decisively to put an end to the Houthi militia that threaten regional and global security, the newspaper concluded.
