Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that dangers of Iran's aggressive behavior are represented in more than a project that works to undermine the security and stability of this region, threaten international peace and reflect the rogue policy pursued by the Iranian regime over more than four decades. The most dangerous issue in the crisis with Iran is its sponsorship of terrorist militias in many Arab countries to undermine the security and sovereignty of those countries, in addition to providing these terrorist militias with weapons and money and stirring up sectarian conflicts in those afflicted countries, the paper added. Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militias are repeatedly targeting civilian objects and civilians in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia using missiles and bomb-laden UAVs, in war crimes condemned by the entire world, which requires the international community, represented by the Security Council, to assume its responsibility towards such crimes being committed by these terrorist militias and their Iranian sponsor as well, the paper added. In another context, Okaz and Al-Yaum newspapers reported in their editorials that due to the spreading of the new waves of COVID 19 pandemic all over the world, many countries went back to take more strict measures in an attempt to limit the spread of the virus especially since the distributing and receiving of the vaccine have not yet been completed. This matter has its impact on the normal life cycle in those countries and affect their economies and capabilities directly, the paper added In this regard, the Ministry of Interior has decided to extend the work with precautionary measures, issued on February 3, 2021, for a period of (20) additional days starting from 10 pm on Sunday 2/7/1442 AH corresponding to 14/2/2021, so that the total is (30) days that can be extended according to the requirements of the epidemiological situation, the paper concluded.
