Air monitoring on Tuesday reassured that no new waves of locusts are coming from neighboring countries, it was announced here. The Director General of Public Relations and Agricultural Information Department at the Ministry of Agriculture Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Fuhaid said moves into the country by red locusts, swarms of which were reported to have crossed the border from the direction of neighboring Jordan yesterday, are no longer continuing. However, the Ministry's locust-combat air and land teams are on alert to fight and wipe out any new presence of locusts, Dr. Khalid said.
