Saudi Arabia Increases Subsidy for Barley

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has increased state subsidy for barley from SR150 to SR200 per ton, Agriculture Minister Dr. Fahd Balghuneim announced yesterday.
The Agriculture Minister commended the gesture by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Fahd Bin Abdul-Aziz in favor of cattle breeders.
The Kingdom paid earlier this year SR3.95 billion to wheat and barley farmers in arrears for their supplies in the 1421H and 1422H seasons.
