The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned strongly attacks on the two villages of Tchoma Bangou and Zaroumadareye in North-West of Niger, which claimed the lives of hundreds of innocent civilians and injured scores of others. The Secretary-General, Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen, affirmed his condemnation of the two attacks, stating that their perpetrators are enemies of peace in the entire Sahel region. Dr. Al-Othaimeen expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and to the Government of Niger, wishing the wounded a speedy recovery. The Secretary General emphasized his solidarity with the Government of Niger, reaffirming his principled rejection of all forms and manifestations of terrorism and violent extremism.
