Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports and Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince on the occasion of Riyadh hosting the 2034 Asian Games. The announcement of Riyadh's hosting of the Asian Games 2034 was during the 39th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia, which was hosted in Muscat. Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal affirmed that the Kingdom's Vision 2030 opened the way to expand the search for such giant hosting in the sports, entertainment and cultural fields, and gave the concerned authorities the opportunity to host the Asian Games for the first time. Prince Abdulaziz confirmed the facilities' readiness to host the continental event, indicating that Riyadh has plenty of time to host many upcoming events.
