Saudi customs officials at Jeddah port have successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle more than 8 million tablets of Captagon hidden in a groats shipment, it was reported here today. In a statement, Mohammed bin Ali Al-Naeem, Undersecretary of the Customs authority for Security Affairs, disclosed that as much as 8753432 tablets of Captagon were carefully hidden in a consignment of groats coming from Turkey to Jeddah port. He added that the consignees were a Saudi national and two Syrians. They were all apprehended, pending necessary legal procedures, he explained.
