RIYADH — The Saudi Customs, at the dry port in Riyadh, foiled an attempt to smuggle in huge cache of drugs. Four smugglers were arrested in connection with the seizure of more than 2,504,468 Captagon pills, which were found in consignments hidden inside a container of gypsum roofs that came from Turkey. Muhammad Al-Naeem, undersecretary at the General Authority of Customs for security affairs, said four people, who were supposed to receive the consignment, were arrested in an operation carried out in coordination with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control. Al-Naeem said that drugs were seized during inspection of the consignments by using an automated mechanism. The drugs were found hidden in cavities inside the panels prepared in a deceitful way for the purpose of smuggling.
