Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Hail Region, who is also Chairman of Hail Region Development Authority and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of Baja Hail Toyota International Rally 2020, today patronized the launching ceremony of the 16th edition of the Rally racing with the participation of 143 competitors from 13 countries, the fourth and fifth round of "FIA" "Baja" World Cup, in the "Al-Maghwah" center. The ceremony was launched in the presence of Prince Faisal bin Fahd bin Meqrin bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Hail Region and Vice President of Hail Region Development Authority and Prince Khalid bin Sultan Al-Faisal, President of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation. On the occasion, Prince Khalid bin Sultan Al-Faisal delivered a speech in which he cited the successive successes of Hail Rally since its inception in 2006 on the global rallies map as the first event of the desert rally "Cross Country" that was organized in the Kingdom as part of the endeavors to keep up with the challenges and apply FIA's regulations and laws by upgrading this rally to the highest levels, especially in light of the repercussions of the coronavirus. "Hail Rally is a story of success achieved as their number reached 143 participants with Baja Hail joining the calendar of the World Cup of Desert Rally Championships "Cross Country" Baja and the organization of two world tours." Prince Khalid further said. He indicated that Hail will continue its presence in the world's toughest rally by hosting some Dakar stages and the rest day in the middle of the rally's period. After that, the Governor of Hail region honored the partners of success including government agencies participating in the rally as well as the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The ceremony was attended by a number of officials and guests of the rally.
