Prince Dr. Bandar bin Abdullah bin Mishari, Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs, inaugurated the Ministry of Interior's platform at GITEX Technology Week 2020, which was launched today virtually, in the presence of the President of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi; Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Arab Emirates Turki bin Abdullah Al-Dakhil; and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Security Capabilities and Chairman of the Supervisory Committee Abdullah Al-Rabiah. During the inauguration, the Assistant Minister said that the Ministry is participating for the sixth time in a row and is looking forward to presenting an excellent experience at GITEX 2020 through a unified platform that brings together the security and service authorities at the ministry. He also conveyed greetings and thanks of Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, to the participants from the Ministry of Interior and the SDAIA, wishing everyone success in highlighting advanced electronic services being provided by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to citizens, residents and visitors of the Kingdom. This year, the Ministry of Interior will participate with six main axes, under the theme (Technological Solutions for a Secure Nation). These axes include "Absher" platform; ID and biometrics services; the Ministry's services for pilgrims and Umrah performers; the Ministry's field security services, the Ministry's services for its employees and its internal community, in addition to the Ministry's initiatives in the field of creativity and innovation. All these services will be presented to the pavilion's visitors in a number of interactive technological methods that allow them to know the efforts and achievements of the participating sectors.
