Asian stock markets rose on Tuesday, AP reported. The Shanghai Composite Index rose 1.1% to 3,259.48 and the Hang Seng in Hong Kong added 2.2% to 24,988.27. The Kospi in Seoul gained 1.7% to 2,339.18. In Sydney, the S&P-ASX 200 rose 1.9% to 6,066.40. India's Sensex rose 1% to 40,144.51. In other trading, benchmark U.S. crude oil added 6 cents to $36.87 per barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. It gained $1.02 on Monday to $36.81 per barrel. Brent crude, the international standard, lost 1 cent to $38.96. It rose $1.03 to $38.97 the previous session. The U.S. dollar declined to 104.72 yen from Monday's 104.75 yen. The euro weakened to $1.1656 from $1.1658.
