Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has rejected any attempt to link Islam with terrorism and condemnned the offensive cartoons of the Noble Prophet Mohammed, Peace Be Upon Him, or any of the Messengers, peace be upon them. The paper added that Saudi Arabia calls for intellectual and cultural freedom based on respect, tolerance and peace that rejects practices and acts that generate hate, violence and extremism and violate the values of coexistence and mutual respect among peoples. The paper concluded that terrorism included ideologies and extreme thoughts call for the acts that violate religious and social teachings, while Islam is a religion that call for tolerance, coexistence and mutual respect among peoples and their religions.
