Saudi Press: Saudi-American Relations Achieves Unprecedented Development at All Levels
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 16 - 10 - 2020

Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the strategic dialogue meetings between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America are being held these days in Washington in order to strengthen the partnership between the two major countries at the regional and international arenas.
The paper said that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has described Riyadh as a stabilizing force in the region due to the great role being played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in combating terrorism in all its forms, in addition to working to promote peace at the international level.
The paper also said that the Saudi-American partnership is vital to combat the forces of extremism and terrorism that threaten security in the region, being led by Iran, carried out by its proxies in Lebanon, Syria and Yemen.
The paper added that the two parties emphasized the eradication of Iranian activity threatening the safety of the region and the world as well.
The paper further added that Iran's standing behind the Houthi militia in addition to supporting them with weapons and training for targeting Saudi cities and populated areas with more than 300 ballistic missiles and drones have clearly confirmed its blatant interference and its role in destabilizing the international peace and security.
The paper concluded that the Saudi-American relations have witnessed unprecedented development at all levels since the first meeting between the late King Abdulaziz and US President Roosevelt before 75 years.
Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has reiterated its strong condemnation of the terrorist Houthi militia's continuing in launching of drones to target civilian objects and civilians in its territories in a systematic and deliberate manner.
The paper added that such attacks are a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and its customary rules.
The paper concluded that the Iranian regime is working to destabilize the security of the region through supporting and training its proxies in Yemen and Lebanon.
