Prince Mohammed bin Salman Cup Professional League is set to celebrate the Arabic Calligraphy Initiative, during the next coming football season, through highlighting names of the players on their jerseys, in Arabic, using the famously august and ceremonial Thuluth calligraphy, in particular. The initiative is the fruit of cooperation among the ministries of culture, sports and the Saudi professional league, in realization of the significance of synergizing efforts to consolidate the prominence and presence of the Arabic calligraphy, through various platforms and several occasions, as it is a main pillar in saving the Arabic culture, in addition to shedding light on its authenticity and beauties, related to the Islamic arts. Falling in line with the wider context of celebration, in this regard, the initiative aims to mark the Year of the Arabic Calligraphy.
