Following a dedication ceremony at the port of Toluene, France, two newly-built Saudi battle ships sailed for the Saudi port of Jeddah today. Upon instructions from Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, Prince General Staff Fahd bin Abdullah bin Mohammed, Commander of the Saudi Royal Naval Forces, hoisted the Saudi national flag on His Majesty: Makkah and His Majesty: Riyadh, announcing the entrance into service of Saudi Navy's most advanced high-tech battle ships. Saudi and French senior navies senior officers took part in the dedication ceremony of the two ships, part of the Saudi-French Sawari 2 project. The two ships are considered among the world's most advanced battle ships.
