The Urban 20 (U20) Mayors Summit continued its virtual meetings for the second day. U20 Chair and President of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City Fahd bin Abdulmohsen Al-Rasheed, Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Program Maimunah Sharif, Representative of the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group Mark Watts, President of the United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) Mohamed Boudra and Head of City Diplomacy at the C40 Cities Emmanuel Pinot participated in the opening session of the virtual meetings. The U20 reviewed its successes and achievements during the chairmanship of Riyadh, as it formed, in cooperation with other cities, 3 working groups that prepared 15 working papers and more than 160 actionable recommendations. It also established a COVID-19 special working group and brought together 42 cities and 30 knowledge partners to prepare recommendations that constitute the final communique to be submitted tomorrow to the G20.
