The Virtual Urban 20 (U20) Mayors' Summit kicked of today and continues until October 2nd, with more than 500 participants. The participants were hosted by several major international organizations representatives including the World Economic Forum, the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, the Global Smart Cities Alliance, and the Global Empowerment Mission, to review issues of urban transformation at a global level. The U20 mayors' summit aims to bring main urban issues by rallying mayors and partners from all over the globe in this exceptional global health and economic crisis. U20 summit will make important recommendations on policies and proposals in the form of a final statement containing 27 recommendations, which will be submitted to the leaders of G20 during the Leaders' Summit between 21 and 22 November 2020 in Riyadh.
