Health Ministry Spokesperson: Second Wave of COVID-19 Means Increasing in Cases after Significant Decline, No Mutation of Coronavirus Recorded Globally
Assistant Minister of Health and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulaali affirmed here today that the second wave of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) means increasing in the cases after a significant decline, affirming that no mutation of the virus was recorded globally. He pointed out that the incubation period of the Coronavirus is 14 days. He announced in a press conference here today that 403 new confirmed cases of the Coronavirus have been reported, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number to 333,193 cases, including 11,505 active cases undergoing treatment. Of these, there are 1,032 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable. It added that 28 new deaths have been reported; putting the tally of fatalities, at 4,683. Meanwhile, as many as 600 cases have recovered, raising recoveries' toll to 317,005. On the other hand, 34,300 new laboratory tests were conducted, in the last 24-hour.
