The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz received at his office at Alyamamah palace in Riyadh today Abdulrahman bin Hamad Alatiyyah, the Secretary General of the GCC, and the ambassadors of the GCC countries accredited to the Kingdom. In addition to Saudi Arabia, the GCC is made up of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and United Arab Emirates. The ambassadors congratulated the monarch on the holy month of Ramadan. On his part, King Fahd sent his greetings to the Emirs and presidents of the GCC member countries, wishing them comfortable and blessed fasting. The audience was attended by Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General; Prince Abdulaziz bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet, and Chief of the Court of the Cabinet's Presidency; and senior protocol officials.
