Assistant Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States for Political Affairs and Negotiations Dr. Abdulaziz Hamad Al-Owaishek met here today with Yemeni Information Minister Muammar Al-Iryani. During the meeting, they reviewed the latest developments at the Yemeni arena and the GCC efforts supporting the Yemeni legitimacy in the political, economic, developmental, relief and humanitarian fields. For his part, the GCC Assistant Secretary for Political Affairs and Negotiations affirmed the GCC's firm stance to end the Yemeni crisis via a political solution based on the three references, including the GCC Initiative and its executives mechanism; outcomes of the Comprehensive National Dialogue Conference and Security Council Resolution no. 2216.
