Activities of the 5th Regional Preparatory Meeting for G20 Religious Values Forum in North America were concluded. The meeting was virtually held yesterday, Monday, by the organizing partners of the Religious Values Forum; King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue (KAICIID); the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC); G20 Religious Values Association and the National Committee to follow up on the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Initiative for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue within the framework of consultations being conducted by the organizing bodies, with religious leaders and institutions as well as with experts and actors in the fields of religious and human values in the North American region. The meeting aimed to present the concept of religious and human values to support policy makers in addressing the common challenges facing the world today including the efforts of religious leaders and institutions to support policymakers in enhancing the role of local and regional communities to combat the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, and contribute to developing general policy recommendations that would help formulate joint recommendations in the final meeting to be held in Riyadh, in mid-October, in preparation for presenting it to the leaders of G20 in Riyadh to take all necessary action.
