Sudan's first vice president and the leader of southern rebels on Saturday left peace talks aimed at ending Africa's longest-running civil war, with some issues resolved and a promise to return soon, negotiators said. First Vice President Ali Osman Mohamed Taha and Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA) rebel leader John Garang, have both been at the talks in Nairobi since Oct. 7. "It has been agreed that the principals will return after the (Muslim) holy month of Ramadan," Lazarus Sumbeiywo, chief mediator for the talks, told reporters.
