Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues, at local, regional, and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper reported that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia made a progress in the telecommunications and information technology sector and fully committed to achieve the goals of its vision 2030 that target building active society, prosperous economy, and digital services environment for citizens and residents. The paper said that, earlier, Saudi Arabia has paid an efforts to develop "e-government", which effectively contributed to serve citizens and residents during the Coronavirus pandemic. The paper emphasized that many important digital initiatives pushed the country to deal in flexibility with the requirements of business, health, and education sectors. Saudi Arabia's digital achievements moved its positions globally to rank the 27th in the digital infrastructure index and 35th in the human capital index. Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen has successfully intercepted and destroyed 7 drones and four ballistic missiles launched by the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia from Sanaa towards Saudi Arabia. The paper said that this great success is a deterrence to the deliberate escalation by the hostile and terrorist Houthi militia by targeting civilians and civilian objects in neighboring countries of Yemen. The paper emphasized that this also confirmed the efficiency of the coalition's forces in dealing with these terrorist and brutal attacks against civilians and civilian objects.
