Prince Mansour holds press conference on municipal elections

Prince Miteb bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs approved the timetable of holding elections of municipal councils following the completion of preparations, Prince Dr. Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz, the Chairman of General Committee for Municipal Elections announced.
In a press conference held here today, Prince Mansour pointed out that the timetable sets dates of holding elections as follows:
First stage in Riyadh on Thursday, Muharram 1, 1426 H.,
Second stage in the Eastern Region, Assir, Jazan, Najran and Baha on Thursday, Muharram 22, 1426 H., and
Third stage in Makkah region, Madinah, Qassim, Tabuk, Hail, Joaf and the Northern Borders on Thursday, First Rabie 12, 1426H.
The timetable also sets dates of registering voters and candidates and of launching electoral campaigns. --More 2139 Local Time 1839 GMT
