Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense, met on Sunday with the US Special Representative for Iran, Brian Hook. During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and their importance in preserving peace and security in the region and confronting destabilizing, hostile activities. During the meeting, Prince Khalid affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia works together with the United States of America to establish security and peace in the region and the world, and supports the American efforts and its relentless endeavor to stop all malicious Iranian activities, repeated violations, and terrorist and subversive acts in the region. They also discussed the recent attacks by Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias in Yemen by drones and missiles on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which were intercepted and downed by Saudi air defenses. Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz conveyed the thanks of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia leadership to the United States of America for sending troops and defense systems to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to maintain regional security, and to confront everything that threatens common interests.
