The paper referred to the generous support provided by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Saudi Arabian research centers within the framework of its ambitious vision 2030 that targets to transform the country's economy from an oil-based to an dependent. The paper said that Saudi Arabia globally ranks 29th out of 50 leading countries in scientific research, according to Witcher Index for 2020, as the only country besides UAE entered this global list. The paper confirmed that the excellent performance by Saudi scientific innovation system and their capabilities that qualify them to continue the scientific race were a cause of reaching advanced ranks among the world countries. Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has taken many steps to strengthen the tourism sector, which is seen as one of the most key factors for achieving the goals of its Vision 2030. The tourism sector in Saudi Arabia has received unprecedented and unremitting support by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince, the paper added. The paper concluded that such great step would effectively contributes to diversifying the sources of the national economy, creating an attractive environment for investments, increasing job opportunities for citizens, in addition to attracting the local and foreign investment.
