Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional, and international arenas. Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues its steadfast stance towards the Palestinian people, in addition to supporting their options. The paper added that this steadfast stance continues in the prosperous era being led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. The paper further added that among these steadfast stances is Saud Arabia's rejection of the plans and measures issued by Israel to annex lands in the West Bank and impose sovereignty over them, as well as any unilateral actions. The paper concluded that in the light of the outbreak of COVID-19 Pandemic in the world, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provided Palestinian Ministry of Health with financial support to enhance and upgrade its capabilities in order to protect the Palestinian people from the pandemic. Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been unanimously elected to chair the Steering Committee of the Code of Conduct Concerning the Repression of Piracy, Armed Robbery Against Ships, and Illicit Maritime Activity in the Western Indian Ocean and the Gulf of Aden Area. The paper added that the election of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is due to its responsibilities towards the stability of the region, as well as the security of maritime navigation and global trade.
