Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional, and international arenas. Al-Bilad newspaper said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has renewed its rejection of the plans and measures issued by Israel to annex lands in the West Bank and impose sovereignty over them, as well as any unilateral actions, violations of international legitimacy decisions, and all that undermine the chances of resuming the peace process to achieve security and stability in the region, stressing the steadfast stance of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia towards the Palestinian people. The paper said that the extraordinary meeting of the OIC Executive Committee at the level of foreign ministers emphasized the seriousness of the Israeli violations of the rights of the Palestinian people. Al-Riyadh and Al-Yaum newspapers said that the mineral and mining sector in Saudi Arabia is witnessing radical transformations and development projects at all levels, contributing to diversify sources of national economy. The papers said that the cabinet's approval of the mining investment regulation will contribute to creating an attractive investment environment in the mining sector, and speeding up exploration and prospecting operations. The papers added that the new mining investment regulation included creating mining fund that will ensure the existence of continuous funding for this sector and attract the internal and external investments, pointing out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the richest countries in the world in terms of mineral resources.
