The Local Content and Governmental Procurement Authority has issued the first version of the mandatory list of medical supplies. The list includes 29 products, such as infection prevention items like sterilizers, face masks, personal protective equipment for health practitioners, sterilization supplies for medical tools, and several other medical supplies. These products will be included on "Etimad" platform for government procurement; where bidders for supply contracts in health and medical industries will have to purchase the products listed in the mandatory list from domestic manufacturers. In a press release, the authority revealed that the national products included in the list have been subject to specific standards, including the availability of at least three domestic factories to manufacture these products, and that their local production capacity can meet the government demand.
