The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) issued the traveler's guide during the resumption of flights within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which represents a guiding framework for travelers that includes a set of precautionary measures that the traveler shall go through during the flight in addition to the obligations that traveler must follow to ensure a safe travel journey that starts from home until reaching the intended destination. According to the traveler's guide, the traveler is committed to several responsibilities during the phase of resuming domestic flights to ensure a safe flight and to avoid travel bans when he/she violates the preventive measures established by the GACA and the Ministry of Health and followed in the airports, and these responsibilities begin since the completion of the purchase of airline tickets by electronic means only, attendance two hours before the flight departure times, measure the temperature of the traveler at the airport, sterilize the hands when entering the hall, wear a cloth or other mask while entering the airport, it is forbidden Traveler who does not adhere to wearing masks and gloves during the flight and during the process of getting off the plane will be banned from travelling. Each traveler is allowed to carry only one piece of personal luggage inside the cabin of the plane, and is encouraged the use of electronic payment methods. In addition, travelers should maintain a safe distance between each other while lining-ups in the boarding stage and inside the transportation buses and passenger bridges. The traveler's guide indicated that the GACA will provide sterilizers in all the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's 28 airports, and obligated all airport and air crew personnel to have a medical examination, and obliged them to sterilize hands, wear masks, gloves, and protection masks, in addition to cleaning all airports continuously every 3 hours, and all the aircraft used in the flight resumption phase are sanitized after each flight, and flights will be scheduled according to a specific time schedule so that the time periods between the departing or incoming flights are not less than 3 hours to ensure the clean-up of the facilities used by travelers for every trip. GACA also took many preventive measures in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia airports upon departure, and those procedures included closing the offices of selling airline tickets at airports and restricting their purchase through electronic means only, commitment to the presence of travelers to the airport two hours before the flight, and limiting the entry of the airport to travelers only, with the exception of those accompanying adults with aged people and people with disabilities, and measuring the temperature of the traveler at the airport. GACA had set up glass barriers separating passengers and service providers to issue a boarding pass and delivering luggage, and also approved maintaining a distance of 2 meters between travelers in ticketing queues by standing on the guide stickers. It also approved the application of spacing between travelers in places of sitting and waiting by leaving an empty seat between each traveler and another, and encourages the use of electronic payment methods, and applying the spacing between travelers at all service providers, restaurants and cafes by a distance of 2 meters.
