The Ministry of Health announced here today that 1618 new confirmed cases of novel Coronavirus have been reported, across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), raising the tally to 83,384 confirmed cases, 240,21 were active cases undergoing medical treatment but are generally stable, however 441 cases are in critical conditions and the remainder are reassuring. Another 1870 recovery cases have been reported, also, taking the toll to 58,883 recoveries. The percentage of Saudis among the reported new cases was 42 and 58 was for the Non-Saudis. The breakdown on gender was 30 per cent for females and 70 per cent for males, but coming to age-wise the elders percentage was 4 per cent, 13 per cent for the children and 83 for the adults. Distribution of the cases in cities was as following: 679 in Riyadh, 247 in Jeddah, 105 in Makkah, 101 in Hafouf, 84 in Dammam, 64 in Khobar, 45 in Madinah, 33 in Buraidah, 25 in Qatif, 24 in Dhahran and lesser numbers, in so many other areas, in the Kingdom. In terms of death rate, the toll rose to 480, as another 22 cases were reported, including a Saudi national in Riyadh, and the remainder are expatriates, in Makkah, Riyadh, Madinah, Jeddah, Taif, Buraidah, Hafouf, and almost all of them were experiencing chronic diseases. Percentage of recovery shot to 71 and the fatalities rate is at 0.57. Laboratory checkups in the Kingdom stood at 806,569 cases, now, as new 19,104 checkups have been added.
