Turkey's foreign minister on Saturday said his country was ready to provide any help necessary in neighboring Iraq's January elections, which have been billed as a milestone in the country's transition to democracy. "We're supporting the elections," said Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul. "We're ready for any help you might think of." The United States is hoping the election will install leaders whom most Iraqis will see as legitimate. Gul also said Massoud Barzani, the leader of one of two main Iraqi Kurdish political factions in Iraq, will arrive in Ankara on Monday for talks on Iraq's future. "We will talk about dangers in Iraq and the future of Iraq," Gul said. "We will talk about obstacles before the stability of Iraq."
