The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) will hold on Thursday the Extraordinary Virtual Conference of Ministers of Education of Member States. It will be organized by ISESCO in cooperation with the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the President of the conference for this session, and will discuss educational systems in the face of crises and emergencies of COVID-19. The organization stated today that during the opening session, speeches will be delivered by Minister of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and President of the Conference Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh; Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yusuf bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen; President of the Islamic Development Bank Group Dr. Bandar Al-Hajjar; and Director General of ISESCO Dr. Salim bin Mohammed Al-Malik. The conference agenda includes working sessions to discuss the role of artificial intelligence applications in developing educational systems and presenting successful experiences in countries being confronted by the pandemic to exchange experiences and confirm the preservation of the right to education. The conference will also review Member states' measures to secure return to schools if COVID-19 continues, and the guidance framework documents issued by international organizations regarding procedures for preparing for a safe return to schools.
