The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf has praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's announcement to organize the 2020 Donors Conference for Yemen, to be held virtually on Tuesday, 10 Shawwal 1441AH corresponding to June 02, 2020. The Secretary General stressed the leading role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabai to support Yemen and lift the human suffering of Yemeni people. He also pointed out that this initiative to hold the conference, in partnership with the United Nations, comes as an extension of the generous humanitarian and development contributions provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the first donor country to Yemen, praising the support and humanitarian and development aid provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Secretary General also praised the generous assistance provided by all the GCC states in all fields to Yemen and its people. He also expressed hope for concerted efforts by the international donors to support this initiative and contribute effectively to the 2020 Donors Conference for Yemen and its noble people so it can restore its security and stability.
