The Saudi Falcons Club participated today in the World Migratory Bird Day, which is held this year under the slogan "Birds Connect Our World". The World Migratory Bird Day is an annual awareness campaign that highlights the importance of preserving migratory birds, by holding events that raise global awareness of the threats being faced by migratory birds, their environmental importance and the need for international cooperation to preserve these birds. The United Nations dedicates two days to migratory birds, the second Saturday of May and October every year. The Falcons Club participated in the first day of the World Migratory Bird Day for the current year by spreading awareness information about the importance of migratory birds and highlighting the efforts by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in this regard. The CEO of the Saudi Falcons Club Hossam bin Abdulmohsen Al-Hazimi said that the celebration of the Falcons Club in this world event comes within the goals of the club to raise awareness of the importance of preserving migratory birds in general and falcons in particular. He added that migratory falcons and birds in general are extremely important in environmental balance and wildlife, as introducing society to this role would contribute to achieving environmental balance.
