Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, has sent a message to British Prime Minister Tony Blair. The message was handed over to Blair by Prince Turki Al-Faisal, the Saudi ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland during a reception earlier today. The message dealt with the invitation from the Crown Prince to the Prime Minister to attend a conference on "combating terrorism" which the Kingdom organizes on February 5, 2005. Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister, has sent a similar message to Jack Straw, the British Foreign Minister.
